Higher and Higher
When you woke up this morning Did you have the same dream as me. Do you want to stay together. I know you need your freedom, You’re a butterfly and I set you free. And god willing you’ll come back to me. I know you still need you wings And you’ll always have that freedom. Higher and higher you take me when were together, Higher and higher you take me, will it last forever. Will you always be with me, Will this love song be in vain. If it’s not for you and me will it live on in someone else. I hope that that be the case. Higher and higher you take me to the stratosphere. We can see all there is to see, higher and higher there. There is but one wish I wish for me. That after all is said and done that you’ll remember me. That the love that we shared together would have meaning and not of been in vain. Higher and higher no glass ceiling, do you remember the day that we meet. I know I cant forget. I even know what you had on And what I said to myself, She’s different than the rest. I Hope this last forever, cause she takes me where No one has gone. Higher and higher. And I can find myself in love with her. Higher and higher is what god meant for us to be. Remember he set us free, he gave us wings you see. Just like you and me, he knew we had to be free. I hope he watches over us while we fly into the atmosphere.
